The air conditioning assembly and manufacturing process is clearly divided in two steps: the manufacturing of components and the final assembly of air-conditioning systems. Final assembly test :
Examples of products to test are: complete air conditioning units (from small home units to large industrial systems), split air conditioners, moveable A/C, window A/C, rooftop splits A/C, chillers.
A final helium or hydrogen leak test is usually performed to detect any possible leaks prior to the refrigerant backfill. The last manufacturing step process consists of pressurizing with refrigerant and checking the performance of the final system. Once the refrigerant has been charged, a leak test using the refrigerant as a tracer gas is performed to check for the complete system integrity and to meet the industry standards.
Sniffer leak detection for components, sub assemblies and final test
H2000 PLUS: Safe and effective, this product can detect, measure, and locate leak rates down to 5x10E-7 mbarl/s using hydrogen as tracer gas. It is maintenance free and available in benchtop, panel and battery operated version.
ILS500: Complete system for leaking, trace gas handling, tooling control and test sequencing using hydrogen as tracer gas. Advanced technology prepared for plug and play.
Note : If tracer gas helium is mandatory, the ASM 142 Series are suitable products.
Sniffer leak detection solution
Refrigerant sniffer leak detector AMG 12 : Sensitive and cost effective, the AMG12 offers you an infra red sensor technology: no false alarm and high level of mass selectivity for your final test.
